“A Faithful God” - 1 Corinthians 10:13

The incredible God we serve exhibits faith towards us even when He gets apathy or outright rejection in return. How awake are we spiritually when the wonders of the world do not force us to acknowledge and glorify the Creator? Is God not faithful even in our moments of dishonor and disappointment?

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” — 1 Corinthians 10:13 {ESV}

1) “Overtaken” - There is not one thing that the enemy can do to dominate or rule your life that he has not already tried. The enemy we are up against has no new tricks.

2) “Common” - Look around and lean on the fellow Christians who have fought the same battles you are engaged in right now.

3) “God is faithful, and…” - It would be one thing if God were simply faithful to His word and His promises, but we get the word “and” that means He goes even beyond our understanding.

4) “The way of escape…” - It does not say He will push us or forces us down this way, it just simply states that He will make the way.

5) “Endure” - This is a difficult thing to learn, but it is the understanding of who we serve that unlocks our ability to endure. (See Philippians 4:13)
